Came to South Africa, 1936. Planning Engineer and Cost Control Officer, De Beer's Consolidated Mines Ltd. President since 1965, Vice-President, 1964, Treasurer, 1953-61, committee member since 1952 of the H.O.D. Louis Isaacson Lodge; Vice-President since 1966 and committee member since 1952 of the M.D.A.; Treasurer, 1961-62, committee member, 1958-62 of the Griqualand West Hebrew Congregation; member of Maccabi Association, South African Jewish Ex-Servicemen's League and De Beer's Stadium Bowling Club Served with South African Forces in World War II, Kimberley Regiment, 1939-42, S.A. Corps of Signals, 1942-45, Private, Signaller, Corporal, S.A.S.W.A. - Egypt Italy. Married Ellen Mathilde Steinwasser, 30th May, 1937; one son. Recreation: Bowls.
