EPSTEIN, Morduch. Diamond Dealer. Born in Lodz, Poland, 27th December, 1902, son of Yudel and Sarah Epstein. Educated at Lodz Commercial and Textile Schools. Came to South Africa December, 1947. Director and proprietor of M. Epstein Diamonds, Johannesburg. Previously Manager of S.A. Diamond Sales Co., 1948- 57; Director of "Plutos" Ltd. (chocolate factory) in Warsaw, 1930-1939. Worked with Zambezi Saw Mills, Livingstone, Northern Rhodesia, 1943-47. Executive member of the Diamond Club of S.A.; Executive member of the Licensed Rough Diamond Dealers' Association. Life member of S.A. Maccabi; member of various Jewish charitable and social organisations. Member of the Dale Lace Park Bowling Club. One married daughter. Add.: 48, Sunnyhoek, Hillbrow, P.O.
