Educated at King Edward VII School, Johannesburg Technical High School and University of the Witwatersrand. Director of Bernzel Investments (Pty) Ltd. Vice- Chairman, P.T.A. Committee, Cyrildene Primary School 1965/66; Committee Member, Temple Israel Hebrew School, 1963-64; H.O.D. Lodge 1964-65. Member of Temple Israel, and Society for Jewish Handicapped (Selwyn Segal Hostel). Vice-President Sharon Country Club. Served in South African Air Force during World War II (1944-45).
