He held office of Treasurer, Vice-President, President of Pretoria Gemilus Chasodim; Vice-President and President of Miriam Marks Hebrew School; was Trustee, Life Vice-President, Pretoria United Hebrew Congregation; Life Vice-President, Pretoria Bikkur Cholim; communal worker for United Communal Fund and Israeli United Appeal for many years. Member of the Wingate Park Country Club and Brooklyn Bowling Club. Married Gittel Lichter 23rd March, 1913; one son, one daughter.
