CARACO, Leon Haim. Manufacturer's Representative. Born Stamboul, 8th July, 1888, son of Haim and Sarah Caraco. Educated at Brussels College. Came to South Africa, 1944. Managing Director, Maison Leon (Pty.) Ltd., Johannesburg. Previously was proprietor of glassware and metalware business in Stamboul. Member, B'nai B'rith Lodge since 1921; member, Johannesburg Progressive Jewish Congregation. During First World War served in France with the Middlesex Regiment.
