Ltd. in Harrismith; now retired. Member of Harrismith Chamber of Commerce. Served on Committee of Governor-General's War Fund during World War II. Chairman of the Harrismith Hebrew Congregation (formerly Treasurer and Committee Member), Member, S.A. Jewish Orphanage, Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home, Selwyn-Segal Home, Hachnoset Kalah, Yeshiva College, Jewish Institute for the Blind, Jerusalem, and the Durban Jewish Club.
