COHEN, Isadore Julius. B.A. Principal, Weizmann Primary School, Cape Town. Born Wynberg, Cape, 12th March, 1918, son of Harry and Jainie Cohen. Educated at South African College School and University of Cape Town. Previously was Vice-Principal, Herzlia School. Committee member, Scopus Club, 1953-56; Chairman, 1956-57. Deputy on S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies. During World War II served with South African Forces, saw action in Egypt and Italy. Member, Clyde Football Club, Fish Hoek Cricket Club, S.A.C.S. Old Boys' Cricket Club, False Bay Rugby Club, Nomads' Hockey Club and Clovelly Country Club. Married Riva Selibowitz, 1964; two sons. Recreations: Sport, bridge, chess.
