COHEN, Stanley Herbert. (Dr. Opt.) D.S.O.A., F.S.O. (S.A.) Consulting Optician. Born in the Cape Province on 11th July, 1895, son of Herbert and Julia Cohen. Educated at St. John's College, Johannesburg, and at Great Ealing College, London. Managing Director of Stanley and De Kock, Consulting Opticians, Johannesburg. Former Clinical Assistant to the late Dr. Geo. Lindsay Johnson, Ophthalmic Surgeon, Durban. Served as Optician in Imperial and Union Forces during First World War (1918). Member of Johannesburg Turf Club, Transvaal Racing Club, Owners and Trainers Association. Recreations: Riding, horse-racing. Married Constance Adela Smith, 1921; one son, one daughter.
