Member of the Port Elizabeth Reform Congregation and Temple Brotherhood. Was President of Midland Association of Industrial Executives 1953-54; Chairman, P.E. Round Table 1963-65; Chairman, P.Ε. Music & Dramatic Society 1952-53; Member, Algoa Bay Rotary Club; Hon Life Member and Committee Member, P.E. Musical and Dramatic Society; Hon. Vice-President Humewood Rangers Soccer Club. Member, Crusader Rugby Football Club, P.E.M. Member, Crusader Rugby Football Club, P.E. Flight Club, P.E. Golf Club. Married Phyllis Cohen 7th April, 1946; one son, two daughters.
