Previous engineering practice in Germany and in South Africa. Part-time Consulting Engineer (electrical, mechanical and illuminating). Serves on technical committees of the International Commission on Illumination. Member, Friends of the Hebrew University and the Technion Society. Member of Owl Club Cape Town Arts Centre, S.A. Association of Arts, Ski Club of S.A. During World War II served in part-time signal training and naval research. Married Elsabe Carmen Kuys, 1945; two sons.
