BENTEL, Israel. Retired. Born in Austria on 19th January, 1877. Arrived in S.A. in 1904. Educated in Austria. Son of Joshua and Jehuda Bentel. Director of I. Bentel and Sons, Venterspost. Served on various Jewish committees and played leading part in building Talmud Torah Hall, Boksburg North, 1930. Member of Acacia Lodge and Boksburg Bowling Club.
