Chairman, United Party Divisional Committee for Durban North, 1953-56. Member, Durban Progressive Congregation, S.A. Jewish Ex-Service League. Served in World War II with the South African Artillery, June, 1940, to January, 1945 (service in Egypt June, 1941, to January, 1944). Married Anita Woolfson 9th April, 1941; one son, one daughter.
