BLACHER, Maurice. Furniture Merchant. Born Lithuania 25th August, 1909, son of Abraham and Chasa Blacher. Came to South Africa 1926. Educated at Hebrew Gymnasium in Lithuania. Executive, Standard Furnishing Co., Western Cape Furnishers (Pty.) Ltd., Blacher & Spiro (Pty.) Ltd. Member, Glen Country Club. Married Ruth Erica Kaplan 5th March, 1944; two daughters.
