Past Chairman of Board of Trade Liaison Committee of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of South Africa; Chairman of Import Control Advisory Committee of the Association of Chamber of Commerce of South Africa, also alternative representative for Assocom on the Tariff Advisory Committee of the Board of Trade and Industries.
