Director, Greenoaks Private School (Pty.) Ltd. Previously Secular Principal, Yeshiva College, Johannesburg; Senior English Master, King Edward VII High School (1945-46). Author of school textbook on English. Awarded Whitton Prize for most outstanding Student, Faculty of Education, Cape Town, 1937. Was Executive Director, S.A. Booksellers' Association Ltd., 1955; and Executive member 1952-1955. Vice-Chairman, Jeppestown and Eastern Districts Hebrew Congregation since 1965; Hon. Secretary, Chaim Weizmann Lodge, H.O.D., 1948-50; committee member, Jeppe Synagogue, since 1958. Delegate to S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies and Federation of Synagogues. During World War II served as Signaller with the S.A. Forces. Played First League hockey for Varsity Old Boys, Cape Town, 1938-42; Fourth League cricket team for Fish Hoek, 1936-38.
