Executive member, Durban Jewish Circle, 1926- 1931; Executive member, Durban Jewish Club, 1931-1941; Council member, Durban Jewish Club, 1942-1954; President, Durban Jewish Club, 1950, 1951; Editor, "Hashalom," 1926-1935; Hon. Secretary, S.A. Jewish Orphanage (Durban Branch) 1926, subsequently Chairman till 1954; Executive member, Council of Natal Jewry, 1931-1954. In 1954 left Durban to reside in Johannesburg on appointment to Board of Directors, Hillman Bros., Limited, after being Manager of the Company in Durban. Recreations: Literary, fishing and bowls.
