ALEXANDER, Enid Asenath. Real Estate Agent and Professional Organiser. Born in Sydney, Australia, daughter of Abraham Harris and Frances Baumberg. Educated at Redlands School, Neutral Bay, Sydney. Arrived in South Africa 1935. Cape Town representative of Alex Cherniavsky, 1961-63. Launched Marion Friedman in South Africa, 1963; Publicity Manager for the late Benno Moiseiwitz, 1962. First Publicity Manager of Australian Broadcasting Company and Australian Broadcasting Commission. Served during World War II as Press Relations Officer of S.A.W.A.S. (assisted to raise over R200,000 for war funds and was commended by the late Field-Marshal Smuts). Married Morris Alexander, K.C., M.P., outstanding Parliamentarian and Jewish communal leader, 15th August, 1935. Author of Morris Alexander,' a biography of her late husband.
