Member of the Public Accountants and Auditors of S.A. Previously Director of various companies. Sworn Appraiser in the Cape. Executive member, S.A. Mizrachi Federation; member, S.A. Zionist Federation Education Committee; member, B'nai B'rith Lodge. Was President of Green and Sea Point Hebrew Congregation, 1955-56; Chairman, Cape Mizrachi Federation, 1952-56; member, Cape Board of Jewish Education, 1940-56; member, Western Province Zionist Council for several years. Rabbinical Diploma (Smicha) received in Israel. Married Naomi, daughter of the late Rabbi M. Ch. Mirvish, 1928; one son, two daughters. Recreation: Study of Hebrew and Rabbinic literature.
