Educated at Spes Bona Intermediate School, Johannesburg, Witwatersrand Technical College, and at the University of South Africa and University of the Witwatersrand. Senior English Master, Hyde Park High School, Johannesburg. Formerly Senior English Master, Athlone Boys' High School, and Director, Johannesburg African Night Schools. Past-President, Transvaal Teachers' Association; Chairman, Johannesburg Council for Adult Education; Chairman, Independent Cultural Association.
