Educated at Benoni High School and University of the Witwatersrand. Director of various companies (insurance and properties). Previously practised as a solicitor. Executive member, Transvaal Clothing Industry, 1947- 54; Executive member, Industrial Council for the Clothing Industry. Member, National Executive, Revisionist Party of S.A., 1945; member, National Executive Committee, Jewish National Fund, from 1961; Executive member, Northcliff Hebrew Congregation, 1950-61. Hon. Attorney to Beth Din, 1939- 44. Member, Transvaal National Sporting Club. Married Regina Solman 22nd July, 1945; one son, two daughters. Recreation: Tennis.
