STODEl, Amelia Jane. Born in London in 1872, and educated there. Married in 1891 to Henry Stodel; has eight children. Came to South Africa in 1891. Chairlady, Cape Jewish Orphanage; Vice-President, Zionist Society; ex-Chairlady, Cape Town Jewish Philanthropic Society: Organiser for the very successful Mid-Week Hospital Street Collections, assisted by the Jewish ladies.
