Educated at St. Andrew's High School, Johannesburg, and Uplands, Natal. Married in 1927 to Reuben Burns. Hon. Instructress for Speech Defects at the Transvaal Memorial Hospital for Children, which post has been held since 1924, and is the first person to hold such a hospital appointment in Transvaal.
