Came to South Africa in 1905, to Boksburg in 1909. Married in 1916 to Freda Gering; has four children. P.M., Acacia Lodge, 3260, E.C.; Member, Boksburg Town Council; Hon. Secretary, Boksburg North Hebrew Congregation since 1913; ex-President, Boksburg and District Zionist Society, and one of its founders; ex-President, Hebrew Order of David, Boksburg Lodge, and Treasurer of same at present (Sir Rufus Isaacs Lodge, No. 6).
