DAVIS, Alfred Abraham (son of the late D. A. Davis), Electrical Engineer, A. M. I. Ε. Ε., Lieutenant Royal Engineers (Great War) 1914-1918. Born in Manchester in 1882. Educated at South Port University School and Owen's College, Manchester. Came to South Africa in 1902. Installation Engineer, Johannesburg Municipal Council; P.M. Arts Lodge 3203 E.C., P.A.D.G.D.C.; served in Delville Wood and was severely wounded; ex-Executive Member, Johannesburg Jewish Guild: Supporter of various Jewish Institutions.
