WAKS, Teddy. Attorney. Born Johannesburg, 23rd December, 1919; son of Solomon and Emma Waks. Educated at Potchefstroom Boys' High School. First Chairman, Governing Body of the Carleton Jones' High School and past member of Municipal Valuation Court. Past Secretary, Potchefstroom Hebrew Congregation and Past Chairman, Carletonville and District Hebrew Congregation. Member, Goldfields West Golf Club. Served with the South African Forces during World War II in East and Northern Africa, in Sicily, Sardinia, Italy and Germany; was taken prisoner, 1942-45.
