Has large business interests in Bloemfontein. Elected to Nigel Town Council in 1954. Mayor of Nigel 1957-1958, 1963- 1964, 1964-1965. Chairman of Nigel Hebrew Congregation and Chairman of Governing Body of English High School and Chairman of Chevra Kadishah. Past President of Rotary Club. Past President of Nathan Gamsu Lodge H.O.D.
