SHASKOLSKY, Reuben. Business Executive. Born Observatory (Cape), 26th December, 1903, son of Simon and Helena Shaskolsky. Educated at South African College High School. Was Co-founder and Director of "Peerless" Shirt Manufacturers (Pty.) Ltd. For many years actively engaged in communal, synagogal and Zionist work. Was a committee member and Executive officer of the Kalk Bay- Muizenberg Hebrew Congregation from 1930 to 1950. Was President of Claremont Hebrew Congregation, 1952-1953, and later Chairman of Claremont Hebrew School. Active worker for the U.C.F. and I.U.A. Was Executive Member of the S.A. Wholesale Textile Association for a number of years. Member of Keurboom Sports Club since its inception, and is presently Vice-President. Recreation: Bowls.
