Chairman of Benoni and District Chamber of Commerce; Reigning Master, "Star of the East," 120, G.E.N.; elected Member of the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Transvaal under the Grand East of the Netherlands; Founder and Charter Member and Director of the Rotary movement in Benoni; Member of the Transvaal Institute of Estate Agents and Representative of the Transvaal Roads League for the East Rand (always advocating that transportation is civilisation); Member of Overseas Club since 1911; Member of different Jewish Institutions; an enthusiastic worker in public interests; Life Member, Benoni Light Plane Club.
