RUBIK, Jack. Editor. Born Wilkomir, Lithuania, 16th
December, 1913, son of Smeril and Malke Rubik. Came to South Africa 1930.
Educated in Lithuania at Tarbuth Teachers' Seminary and studied Law at the
University of Kaunas and at the University of the Witwatersrand. Editor, of the
South African Hebrew monthly "Barkai." Was formerly a teacher in
Government Schools in Lithuania and Principal of Hebrew Schools in South
Africa. Executive member, S.A. Zionist Federation, S.A. Board of Jewish
Education, and Israeli United Appeal. Honorary Officer, Federation of
Synagogues. Chairman, S.A. Jewish Journalists' Association. Add.: 301, Heifield
