LEVY, Walter. Business Executive. Born Germany 1st October, 1908, son of Julius and Rebecca. Educated in Germany at Real Gymnasium. Came to South Africa 1933. Divisional Superintendent, Woolworths and Director of several private companies. Previously proprietor National Bazaars (Goodwood and Parow) now incorporated in Woolworths. Town Councillor of Parow for past ten years. Hon. Life member of Parow Hebrew Congregation, served as Chairman for several terms. Former member of Cape Jewish Board of Deputies. Served with Union Defence Forces in World War II. Foundation member, King David Country Club, Vice-President, Parow Rugby Club; past President, Parow Tennis Club. Recreation: bowls.
