MANKOWITZ, Aaron. Retired. Born Joniskis, Lithuania. 17th June, 1901; son of Chone and Hannah Mankowitz. Educated in Lithuania. Came to South Africa 1924. Formerly farmer, outfitter and Director of King Clothing Manufacturers. Member, Kingwilliamstown Hebrew Congregation; King Bowling Club. During World War II served in Coastal Defence and National Reserve of Volunteers. Married Miss Lander, 15th June, 1933; two daughters. Recreations: Fishing, gardening, bowling. Add.: 9, Maitland, Road, Kingwilliamstown.
