Friends of the Hebrew University; Executive member Union Zionist Association, since 1958. Member of Grand Executive, Hebrew Order of David, 1954- 1964. Chairman, Oxford Synagogue, 1956 and 1960. Chairman, S.A. Jewish Ex-Servicemen's League, Johannesburg, 1950. Executive member, United Hebrew Congregation, 1955 1962. Executive member, Transvaal Chamber of Industries. During World War II was Captain in S.A. 6th Armoured Division and served in North Africa and Italian campaigns. Member, Houghton Bowling Club.
