Sales manager in the motor trade. Hon. treasurer, Claremont Hebrew Congregation, formerly hon. secretary. Elected Hon. Life Committee member of the Congregation, 1967; has served on executive for 22 years. Active worker for Israeli United Appeal and United Communal Fund. Executive member of the United Council of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations. Member, Western Province Soccer Referees Association for past 19 years, and life member. Was inaugural president of the Referees' Association of South Africa. Married Yetta Bernbaum, 1931; one son, one daughter. Recreation: Soccer refereeing.
