MICHAELS, Wolf. Born Suwalki, Poland, 5th December 1900. Son of Mendel and Jochved Michnowski, nephew of late Hyman Liberman, who was first Jewish mayor of Cape Town. Educated in Russia and Poland, Graduated Industrial Chemical Engineer and Commercial Law from the University of Saen, France. Came to South Africa from France 1935. Managing Director of National Electronics Corp S.A. (Pty.) Ltd., Labia Theatre (Pty.), Ltd., Rheede Centre (Pty.), Ltd., Cosmos Films 1967 (Pty.), Ltd. Elected to the Cape Town City Council 1966, Member of Health and Housing Committee, Teaching Hospitals Board, Mayors Ex-Servicemen's Committee of management and Tamboers Kloof Tennis Club.
