Secretary-Treasurer, Potchefstroom Jewish Helping Hand and Burial Society since 1952; member, Potchefstroom Hebrew Congregation; previously Treasurer and Committee member. Life Member of Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home and Moishe and Chaim Sadowsky Benevolent Society. Was Secretary and Treasurer of the Western Transvaal Branch of the S.A. Radio League. Member, Potchefstroom Country Club. During World War II was in National Reserve Volunteers' Brigade. Married Lily Sadowsky, April, 1939; two sons, two daughters.
