MILLER, Michael. Director of Companies. Born Tirksly, Lithuania, 2nd January, 1893, son of Sam and Dora Miller. Educated in Hull, England. Came to South Africa 1911. Alternating Chairman and Joint Managing Director, O.K. Bazaars (1929) Ltd., and subsidiary companies; Chairman, Federated Stores, Ltd. Director, Dandy Polish Co. Ltd. Joint founder with Sam Cohen of the group which commenced operations in 1927 under the name of O.K. Bazaars, and which today has branches in all important centres in the Republic of South Africa. The Chairmanship of O.K. Bazaars rotates annually between the two founders of the Company. Trustee, S.A. Foundation; member of the Transvaal Automobile Club.
