MILLIN, Albert. C.B.E., C.M.G. Died 1964. Born Montagu, C.P., 1st June, 1893, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barnett Millin. Educated at the South African College School and South African College, Cape Town. After serving in the First World War in South West Africa and overseas, he established himself as a Solicitor in Mbabane, Swaziland. Identifying himself with all phases of the territory's development, he was appointed a member of the Swaziland Advisory Council and served for many years as a member of the Executive Committee, including a period as Chairman. He was also prominently associated with other organisations and was decorated for his public work. Through his efforts many victims of Nazi persecution found refuge in Swaziland during the Hitler years. Married Frances Sybil Emmet-Deal in 1924 and is survived by his widow and son.
