Educated at King Edward VII High School, Johannesburg, Universities of Witwatersrand and Cape Town and Trinity College, Dublin. Physician in Charge, Entabene Hospital, Durban. Previously was Regional Medical Officer in Nylstroom and Durban. Was member of Council of Medical Association of S.A. (Natal Coastal Branch); chairman, S.A. Red Cross Society (Natal Region); a vice-president of S.A. Red Cross Society, South Africa. Member, Automobile Council of Natal. Married Frances Ruth Levy, 1930; two sons, one daughter.
