MUREINIK, Azariah. Journalist. Born 5th August, 1909, in
Kelm, Lithuania, son of Shmuel and Anna. Came to South Africa 1920. Educated at
Germiston High School. Press Officer, S.A. Zionist Federation, and member of
the editorial staff, "Zionist Record." Formerly Secretary of the
Information and Education Department of the S.A. Zionist Federation. Was Assistant
Editor, "Germiston Advocate," 1930-1944. Council member,
North-Eastern Hebrew Congregation, Johannesburg; also member of the
Congregation's Talmud Torah and Religious Committees. Married Florence Minnie
Lapinsky, 1940; two sons, one daughter. Recreation: Reading. Add.: 34, First
