MUSIKER, Reuben. B.Sc. Deputy Librarian, Rhodes University. Born Johannesburg 12th January, 1931. Educated at Athlone High School, University of the Witwatersrand and University of Cape Town. Holds Diploma in Librarianship and is a Fellow of the S.A. Library Association. Authority on S.A. cataloguing practice and reference books, having lectured at Witwatersrand University and is tutor and examiner for S.A. Library Association. Represented South Africa International Conference on Cataloguing, 1961 Author of "A Guide to S.A. Reference Books" (4th edition, 1965); "A Guide to Source of Information in the Humanities" (1962); "Directory Contributor to professional periodicals, to the "Encyclopaedia of Southern Africa" and to the Dictionary of S.A. Biography." S.A. Abstractor for "Library Science Abstracts"; S.A. Correspondent for the African Studies Associations of the U.S.A. and U.K. Married Naomi Measroch; one daughter. Recreation: Music.
