Companies. Born Johannesburg 1st November, 1896, son of Jacob and Leah Nestadt.
Educated at the Benoni Intermediate School. Director and Chairman of George Rennie
& Co. (Pty) Ltd., Raylite Batteries (Pty.) Ltd., Apex Steel Sections (Pty)
Ltd., and various other companies. Member of the Provincial Council for 36
years. In 1950 Benoni Town Council honoured Mr. Nestadt by naming its
industrial sites "Nestadt Industrial Township". First Freeman of
Benoni. Served on Benoni Town Council for 42 years. Received Queen's Coronation
Medal, 1953. Hon. Life member, United Hebrew Institutions of Benoni and Hebrew
Order of David, Benoni Lodge. President and Founder, Benoni Pioneers' Association;
Chairman Benoni Municipal Sports Board of Control, President: Eastern Transvaal
