Chairman, Temple Shalom, Johannesburg United Progressive Jewish Congregation, 1955-1966, and 1963; Vice-President, United Progressive Jewish Congregation, 1959 and 1964; President since 1964. Chairman, Temple Social Club, 1950-56. Hon. Life member, Alan Isaacs Camp. Chairman, Uncle Ted's Fund for Handicapped Children since 1955. On executive of Transvaal Men's Retail Outfitters' Association and Father's Day Council. Co-Founder of Allenby Country Club, 1953, and its President, 1956-8.
