OSTROFSKY, Hyman. Secretary. Born Johannesburg, 1898, son of Maurice and Pauline Ostrofsky. Educated in Benoni, where he has lived since 1906. Conducts Bookkeeping and Secretarial practice. Past Deputy Grand President, Hebrew Order of David, and Past Principal of Senate of the Hebrew Order of David. Council member, United Hebrew Institutions of Benoni, for past 20 years, and elected Life Honorary member in 1967. During World War II was member of Civic Guard.
