PHILLIPS, Abraham. Director of Companies. Born Johannesburg 20th September, 1916, son of Samuel and Annie Phillips, Educated at Cape Town High School and Cape Town Talmud Torah. Director of Capital Dry Cleaners Ltd. and associated companies. Previously on staff of the Provincial Accounts Office, Natal. Member, Pretoria United Hebrew Congregation, United Zionist Revisionist Organisation and Berl Faktor Talmud Group. During World War II served with the 1st Royal Natal Carbineers in East Africa, Abyssinia and North Africa and with the 1st City of Cape Town Highlanders Regiment in Madagascar.
