Pinn, Gerald

PINN, Gerald. Director of Companies. Born Berlin, Germany 10th October, 1909, son of Georg and Francis Pinn. Educated at Berlin and Breslau (University of Breslau). Came to South Africa 1933, Director of African Sales Co. (Pty.) Ltd. and African Supplies Co. (Pty.) Ltd. During World War II served with the 2nd A.A., in the East African campaign and Egypt; was taken prisoner-of-war at Tobruk; escaped from Italy to Switzerland. Married 1949, wife's name Irene Ruth.
