PINSHAW, Israel. Secretary, Cape Council of the S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies. Born Zastron, O.F.S., son of Solomon and Sophie Pinshaw. Educated at Zastron High School. Previously a Civil Servant in the Departments of Lands, Transvaal Provincial Administration and Bantu Education. Foundation member of the Pretoria Jewish Community Council. Member of the National Council of the South African Jewish Ex-Servicemen's League 1946-57. During World War II served with South African forces in Middle East and Italy.
