Educated at school in Port Elizabeth and at University of Witwatersrand. Was a Hebrew teacher in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg (1926-33) before entering Law. Executive member, S.A. Zionist Federation. Former Chairman, S.A. Board of Jewish Education. Former Executive member, S.A. Jewish Board of Deputies. Former Chairman of Oxford Synagogue. Member of Council, United Hebrew Congregation. Former Council member of Histadruth Ivrith and United Communal Fund. Member of the Transvaal Automobile Club. Married; one son. Add.: P.O.
