KENTRIDGE, May. Housewife, Born London, England, daughter of Leon and Rose Schafner. Came to South Africa 1903. Educated in Johannesburg. Married the late Morris Kentridge, noted Parliamentarian, in 1921 and organised husband's parliamentary election campaigns from 1924 to his retirement in 1958. Has taken active part for many years in Zionist and social work. During World War II was Commandant in S.A. Women's Auxiliary Services and organised comforts for African troops in the locations and African church schools. Has three sons. Add.: 34, Stamford Hall, Hillbrow, Johannesburg.
