KESSLER, Abraham. M.B., Ch.B., Dip.. Surg. Neuro-surgeon. Born Slonim, Poland 27th September, 1923, son of Hyman and Leah Kessler. Came to South Africa 1929. Educated at Witbank High School and University of the Witwatersrand. Neurosurgeon at Livingstone Hospital and Senior Hon. Neurosurgeon, Provincial Hospital, Port Elizabeth. Previously at Baragwanath Hospital, Johannesburg and West End Hospital for Nervous Diseases, London. Served with Carmeli Brigade in Israel's War of Independence. Member of the Summerwood Club and Lion's International, Port Elizabeth. Recreation: fishing. Married Hannah Kornbluh 2nd June, 1949; two sons, one daughter. Add.: 3, Plymouth Street, Summerstrand.
