KLEINOT, Isidore (Sonny). Retired Mining Engineer. Born London, England 31st July, 1901, son of Harry and Annie Kleinot. Came to South Africa 1902. Educated at King Edward VII School and S.A. School of Mines, Johannesburg. Retired after 40 years service with Central Mining - Rand Mines Group: on various mines but mainly City Deep for past 30 years, in various capacities. Latterly Underground Manager. One of the founders of Jewish Guild Boxing and Physical Training Section, 1924; one of original members, S.A. Jewish Ex-Service League, and a life member. Member of the Old Edwardians, M.O.T.H.s, Life member, B.E.S.L. Served as pilot in First World War in Royal Flying Corps and R.A.F. Recreations: Numismatics, swimming. Married Esta Cutler 24th May, 1931; two sons. Add.: 401. Houghton Gardens, Yeoville, Johannesburg.
